Affiliate Disclosure

How incomeroam earns — fully transparent

We participate in affiliate programs. When you click certain links and make a purchase, the merchant pays us a commission. You pay no extra and often pay less. Here is exactly how that works.

The short version

incomeroam.com participates in affiliate programs. When you click certain links on this site and make a purchase, we may receive a commission from the merchant. You pay no extra and often pay less — affiliate links frequently come with discounts unavailable elsewhere. We disclose this relationship at the top of every article that contains affiliate links and on this page in detail.

What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a tracked URL that tells the merchant “this customer came from incomeroam.” When you click one and complete a qualifying action — sign-up, purchase, deposit — the merchant pays us a referral commission.

Affiliate links are how incomeroam funds editorial work. We have no advertising banners, no sponsored sections, no paid newsletter placements, and no premium content paywall. The site is free to read because affiliate commissions cover the costs.

How affiliate relationships affect — and don’t affect — our coverage

They do not affect:

  • Which services we choose to review
  • The rating we assign
  • The verdict we publish
  • Whether a service is included in our “Best of” rankings

They do affect:

  • The order of “Buy Now” or “Learn More” CTAs on pages comparing multiple services — when two services are functionally tied, the affiliate-supported one may appear first, but only when functionally tied
  • The specific URL we link to (we use our affiliate URL when one exists; we use a clean URL when no program is available)
Important: if a service doesn’t have an affiliate program, we still cover it when it’s the right answer. Our Mullvad VPN and Bitwarden coverage are examples — we earn nothing from them, but they’re the correct tools for many readers. About 30% of our catalog is in this “no commission” category.

Programs we participate in

We’re members of, or otherwise compensated by, the following affiliate programs and networks (incomplete list, updated as we add partners):

  • Impact.com
  • ShareASale
  • Commission Junction (CJ Affiliate)
  • PartnerStack
  • Awin
  • Rewardful
  • Direct programs operated by individual vendors (Hostinger, Wise, Payoneer, Ledger, Tangem, Beehiiv, and others)

A current list of every brand we have an active affiliate relationship with is available on request via contact.

FTC compliance

We follow U.S. Federal Trade Commission guidelines on endorsements (16 CFR Part 255). In practice:

  • Every page with affiliate links displays a disclosure at the top, before any link appears
  • Disclosures are in plain language, not buried in fine print
  • We never use language implying a service is recommended when our actual review is mixed
  • We do not present sponsored content as editorial coverage (we don’t accept sponsored content at all)

What about reviews where we earn nothing?

About 30% of the services in our catalog don’t have affiliate programs we participate in. We cover them anyway. There is no incentive other than helping readers choose well. These services carry an “Editorial Pick — No Affiliate” tag in the catalog filters.

Reader protection

Even though we earn from affiliates, we do not:

  • Publish fake reviews of services we haven’t used
  • Inflate ratings to increase conversions
  • Hide negative information about commission-paying vendors
  • Use deceptive deal language (“70% off” when it’s a standard rate)
  • Add affiliate tracking to links the user wasn’t expecting (we never alter incoming user links or substitute affiliate URLs into reader-shared content)

If you spot a violation of any of the above, please contact us. We treat such reports as bugs and fix them publicly.

Cookies and tracking

Affiliate links typically set a tracking cookie that allows the merchant to attribute your purchase to incomeroam if completed within a specific window (usually 30 days). This cookie does not collect personal information about you. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

You can disable cookies in your browser, in which case the merchant won’t attribute the sale to us — and we won’t earn the commission. You can also reach the same merchant via a direct URL: same destination, no commission to incomeroam.
